20. Rural Roadmap
The Rural Roadmap provides practical steps and solutions aimed at bridging policy silos and enabling a more holistic, ecosystem way of thinking about rural policy. It represents a comprehensive synthesis of the work and discussions that took place during the TGB programme period, as well as the results this yielded. In doing so, the synthesis draws on the entire co-creation process undergone with TG members, encompassing two workshops and a final validation round.
This open collaborative process allowed us to capture the nuances of the rural lived realities, from past development paths still affecting the situation today to current discourses and possible future trends. The end result, with its interactive format, can be used to bridge policy silos as it showcases the problem settings – as well as possible solutions – shared by different policy fields.
